A training course for coaches and judges of traditional Chinlone was conducted at Nay Pyi Taw Sports Training Camp on Friday. The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, the Ministry of Education, and the Myanmar Traditional Chinlone Federation jointly organized the course.
The objective of the training is to elevate the standard of Myanmar traditional Chinlone while producing qualified coaches and judges. Chinlone, also known as Caneball, is a sport that requires skillful play and is unique to Myanmar, symbolizing unity and harmony as it originated from the country. Myanmar people are the only ones in the world who can play it skillfully.
Over time, Chinlone has gained popularity not only in Asian countries but also in Europe and western countries. The training course serves as a means to propagate Chinlone's playing techniques globally, complete with systematic rules and regulations.
A total of 48 trainees are participating in the course, scheduled from 2nd to 9th February. The successful implementation of this training is expected to contribute to the continued growth and recognition of Chinlone on the international stage.
