Chinese FM meets with US security advisor in Thailand

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday and Saturday. During the meeting, the two sides agreed to jointly implement the “San Francisco Consensus”, confirmed that the two heads of state will maintain contact on a regular basis and provide strategic guidance for bilateral relations.

The two sides also agreed to advance exchanges at all levels and in all fields, effectively use existing strategic communication channels, and conduct a series of dialogues and consultations in sectors including diplomacy, military affairs, economy, finance, commerce and climate change.
