Chinese FM meets Tesla CEO Elon Musk

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang met with Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Tuesday in Beijing.

China will continue to advance opening-up at a high level and create a better market-oriented, law-based, and international business environment for Tesla and other foreign companies, said Qin.

The Chinese Foreign Minister also said that a healthy, stable, and constructive China-U.S. relationship is in the interests of both countries and the world at large, adding that such a relationship is only possible when the two sides adhere to the right direction of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation.

Musk said, adding that Tesla opposes decoupling and is willing to continue to expand its business in China and share the country's development opportunities.
