Chinese FM meets with EU foreign policy chief

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Josep Borrell, high representative of the EU for foreign affairs and security policy, co-chaired the 12th round of China-EU High-level Strategic Dialogue in Beijing on Friday.
During discussions, both sides agreed to prioritize constructive and stable EU-China relations in the future. Wang said the two sides have resumed exchanges at all levels, but stressed a greater need for both sides to commit to a partnership and avoid misunderstandings.
Borrell promised that the EU will not fight a trade war and has no intention to contain China's development. He also called on the EU to cooperate more with China on climate change.
