Speaking on Monday, at the 25th WPC Energy Congress in Riyadh, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman delivered a sharp warning regarding global energy vulnerabilities amid regional escalations in the Middle East.

He stressed that "energy security cannot be taken for granted," noting that ongoing regional conflicts and drone/missile strikes targeting infrastructure have severely tested institutions, supply networks, and decision-making processes across the energy sector.

The minister pointed out that Saudi Arabia’s current ability to maintain production and supply stability is the result of long-term planning, stating that "resilience is built before crises begin." He reiterated that global energy security and the ongoing energy transition must progress hand in hand, concluding that "there can be no energy future for all without energy security for all."
