Chinese FM hails friendship and mutual support with Togo

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was greeted by his Togolese counterpart Robert Dussey on Tuesday on his arrival at Lomé airport, as part of a tour of four African countries.

Wang paid a visit to Togo on invitation after concluding his visit to Tunisia.The Togolese government has stressed that there is only one China in the world and that the government of the People's Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China.

Togo fully supports China in safeguarding sovereignty and territorial integrity, Dussey added. Wang said China will continue to firmly support Togo in safeguarding its sovereignty, security and development interests.
