China's Xi holds bilateral talks with Thai PM

Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha on Saturday in Bangkok.

Their talks came just hours after the APEC summit had wrapped in the Thai capital.According to Thai media, the agenda included the development of closer ties in fields such as manufacturing, tourism, education and culture.

It is Xi's first official visit to Thailand as president. Other world leaders attending the APEC summit included Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
