China's huge market always open to foreign firms

Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Elon Musk, CEO of the U.S. electric carmaker Tesla, in Beijing on Sunday.

Li said that Tesla’s development in China marks a successful example of economic and trade cooperation between China and the United States, noting that facts have shown that equal-footed cooperation and mutual benefits are in the fundamental interests of both countries.

Li expressed that the U.S. will work with China to meet each other halfway and follow the strategic guidance of the two heads of state to promote the sustained and steady development of China-U.S. relations.Musk said Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory is Tesla’s best-performing one thanks to the hard work and wisdom of the Chinese team.He said that Tesla is willing to further deepen cooperation with the Chinese side to achieve more win-win results.
