China-US Defense Ministers Hold Talks

Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun and U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin held talks on Friday on the sidelines of the 21st Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore.

At a press conference after the talks, Wu Qian, spokesman of Chinese Defense Ministry, described the engagement between the two defense chiefs as positive, pragmatic, and constructive strategic communication.

Chinese defense minister stressed the importance of maintaining communication to develop military-to-military relationship on the basis of equality and respect, Wu stated.
