China urges Israel to cease fighting in Gaza at UN meeting

China's deputy permanent representative to the United Nations Geng Shuang urged Israel to cease fighting in Gaza. The remark was made during a United Nations General Assembly meeting on Tuesday, following the U.S.'s veto of a Security Council resolution on Gaza ceasefire in December.
