China’s Zhejiang Province organized massive emergency hazard elimination and disaster relief operations following the landfalls of Typhoon Bavi.

The storm, packing maximum winds of 40 meters per second, made its first landfall in Taizhou and a second in Wenzhou. In response, the province upgraded its emergency response to the highest level, evacuating over 2.21 million residents to safe locations. Chinese authorities allocated 40 million yuan in central natural disaster relief funds to support these prevention and recovery efforts.
