China’s Sichuan develops drones for safer low-altitude services

The mountainous city of Pengzhou in Sichuan of China, is pioneering a robust low-altitude economy. Using its complex terrain as a natural testing ground, the city is developing specialized drones to navigate extreme weather and transport goods to remote areas safely.

Equipped with thermal imaging and gas sensors, drones execute preset patrol routes to detect landslides, monitor forest fires, and locate trapped individuals, improving hazard detection by 80%.
