In response to the widespread rainy and snowy weather in China, railway stations and bureaus in China have implemented measures to ensure safe and smooth rail travel for passengers during the Spring Festival travel rush.

The weather during the travel rush has resulted in delays and cancellations of train services in several regions.  In response to the situation, railway stations in Beijing and central China’s Wuhan have extended their operating hours and increased the number of service windows to facilitate offline ticket refunds and exchanges for passengers in case their trips are suspended.

According to data released by the China State Railway Group, the railway system is expected to handle 12.4 million passenger trips on Monday, with additional 1,357 passenger trains arranged to manage the high passenger flows.
