China’s first space computing innovation center launched in Beijing

China on Monday launched its first innovation center dedicated to integrating the space computing industry chain, marking a new phase of coordinated and standardized development for the country’s space computing sector.

Unveiled at the 2026 Space Computing Forum at the Global Digital Economy Conference, the space computing innovation center, jointly led by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) and leading enterprises in the space computing sector, will focus on tackling common technological challenges in the industry.
