About a thousand shells of various colors, types, and origins that belonged to the poet Pablo Neruda take center stage in an exhibition inaugurated on Friday at the central house of the University of Chile, featuring the Nobel Prize winner's malacological collection.

This is the largest exhibition ever held of the shells collected by Neruda and coincides with the 70th anniversary of the moment when the poet donated his collection to the University of Chile.
