Trucks have been used to spray water in the morning and afternoon to alleviate the heat in their respective habitats. Additionally, within the exhibition areas, sprinklers have been installed to cool the animals, including African animals, white lions, Asian elephants, and small-clawed otters.
The zoo staff has also provided frozen treats made from fruits and other refreshments. The zoo has intensified efforts to closely monitor and cool down the animals in all zones of the Chiang Mai Zoo by increasing the frequency of spraying to reduce the high temperatures and dust levels.
