Ceremony of tree planting: MoE organized a ceremony of tree planting

The 2025 Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony organized by the Ministry of Energy was held on the roadside green space of Thazin Road (between Tawwin Thiri Road and Myat Mingalar Road) in Dekkhinathiri Township, Union Territory, Nay Pyi Taw on 30th June.

The event was attended by Union Minister U Ko Ko Lwin, along with the Deputy Minister, Director Generals, Heads of Departments and Enterprises, and officials and staff under the Ministry. At the ceremony, Union Minister U Ko Ko Lwin led the planting of a Gantgaw tree at the designated location.

The Deputy Minister, Director Generals, Department Heads, and staff also planted a total of 408 trees, including the saplings of Star-flower, Teak, Pyinkado, Mahogany, Mango, and Padauk trees. The Union Minister also toured the planting site to offer encouragement.

At the same time, under the supervision of the Ministry, regional inspection offices, oil fields, and various factories and workshops across Regions and States also participated in planting. In total, 4,560 trees including Star-flower, Teak, Pyinkado, Mahogany, Mango, Padauk, Eugenia, Kokko, Tamarind, and other shade and windbreak trees were planted in a systematic manner.
