The Ministry of Education is set to introduce psychosocial support programs at basic education schools, with the aim of fostering a conducive environment for students' mental well-being and safety.

The initiative, which kicked off with an opening ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw, emphasizes the importance of equipping students with the resilience to navigate evolving societal dynamics, family structures, environments, and technological advancements.

The Central Level Training on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Schools, scheduled from March 21st to 23rd, brings together education officials and school representatives from various regions and states. Facilitated by UNICEF Myanmar, this training seeks to empower attendees with the knowledge and tools necessary to support students' mental health effectively.
