Stability Restored in Kawkareik: Residents return home as officials begin recovery efforts

Since the restoration of regional stability in Kawkareik, Kayin State, residents who had temporarily fled to safer areas have begun returning to their homes starting on the morning of April 27th.

On Monday, displaced residents continued to return steadily since the morning, with officials providing necessary arrangements for their return. Concerned officials have also assessed damages, cleared debris, and made arrangements for security measures. Plans are underway for the resettlement of households that lost their homes in fires.
