Central Committee Meeting: CCMF held its 16th meeting

The 16th Meeting of the Central Committee for the Management of Farmland was held on October 21 at the meeting hall of the Union Minister's Office of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation in Nay Pyi Taw.

At the meeting, the Committee Chairman, the Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung, delivered opening remarks regarding the management of farmland. Following this, the Secretary of the Central Committee presented the work files to be discussed and addressed during the meeting.

The Chairman of the Central Committee and the meeting attendees then reviewed, assessed, and discussed each item. During the Central Committee meeting, discussions and actions were carried out on matters including applications submitted to designate, in accordance with Section 34 of the Farmland Law and Rules 35 and 36 of the Farmland By-Law, lands that have been permitted for use as vacant, fallow, and virgin land and have stable cultivation operations as farmland; issues related to the payment of compensation and damages for the implementation of state projects and proposed procedures to resolve cases where farmland is used without permission or by other means, and to control and prevent future occurrences, in accordance with standardized procedures, it’s learnt.
