Central Committee Meeting : CBM Government attended the meeting

The Central Supervisory Committee on Establishment of Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by the Strong Mandalay Earthquake held its meeting (3/2025) on October 24, at the Central Bank of Myanmar, Nay Pyi Taw.

The meeting was attended and discussed by the Chairperson of the Central Supervisory Committee, the Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar, Daw Than Than Swe, and members of Central Committee. During the meeting, banks and non-bank financial institutions presented their needs regarding loan applications.

The policies were discussed again by the members of the task force for Establishment of Fund. The committee members and task force discussed cooperation with regional government bodies, the designation of responsible persons to liaise with relevant departments to ensure speed and accuracy in loan verification, and other related matters. Subsequently, banks and non-bank financial institutions signed a cooperation agreement.
