Celebration in Yangon : Commemorative event held by Thai Embassy

A ceremony to mark the Birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, Thailand’s National Day and Father’s Day was held at the residence of the Thai Ambassador in Yangon on Friday.

Member of the State Security and Peace Commission, Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maung Aye attended the event. Thai Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Mongkol Visitstump and his wife warmly welcomed the Union Minister and guests.

The ceremony began with the national anthems of Myanmar and Thailand, followed by welcoming remarks from the Ambassador. Afterwards, the Union Minister, the Ambassador and their spouses enjoyed cultural performances by a Thai cultural troupe. A dinner reception was also hosted for the guests, and the Union Minister presented honorary gifts to the performing artists.
