Capacity Building Training: MoSWRR UM delivered the opening speech

The opening ceremony for Training Course on Staff Capacity Building and Warehouse Management was held on December 8 at the meeting hall of the Disaster Management Department under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement in Nay Pyi Taw.

Union Minister Dr. Soe Win delivered the opening address. In his opening address, the Union Minister stated that this training course has been organized with the objectives of enhancing the leadership and management skills of mid-level officers serving in the Disaster Management Department, enabling them to understand and proficiently carry out financial procedures, ensuring their work is conducted in accordance with established laws, regulations, procedures, and directives, and enabling them to systematically manage the warehouses that have been opened to provide timely assistance to disaster victims, among other goals.

The 36 Deputy Directors from the Disaster Management Department (Headquarters) and Region/State/District Chief Offices attended this training. The course will be conducted over four days, from December 8 to December 11, it’s reported.
