Buddha Day Water Pouring Festival : Vice Presidents attended and poured water to Bodhi Tree

The Dhamma Preaching Ceremony in commemoration of the Full Moon Day of Kason (Buddha Day), 1388 ME, was held on April 30 at the Aggadhipati Sasana Beikman within the Maravijaya Buddha Park in Nay Pyi Taw.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Joint-Secretary Sayadaw of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, the Joint-Secretary Sayadaw of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, the Deputy Chief of MahaVisuddhayon Shwegyin Taikthit  Monastery in Bahan Township, Yangon Region, Bhaddanta Sirikanjanabhivamsa .

The attendees included the Vice President U Nyo Saw and his wife, and Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye, the Union level dignitaries, religious associations and the audience of Dhamma listeners.

First, the audience led by Vice President U Nyo Saw and his wife, and Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye, received the Five Precepts from the Joint-Secretary Sayadaw of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee.

They then respectfully listened to the Dhamma discourse on the significance of the Full Moon Day of Kason (Buddha Day). Afterwards, Vice President U Nyo Saw presented offerings of Dhamma-puja funds. Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs, U Lin Aung, received the offering as kappiyakaraka which is the one who performs the permissible act for monks.

Subsequently, the congregation listened to the Anumodana  sermon delivered by the Deputy Chief of Maha Visuddhayon ShwegyinTaikthit  Monastery, and then shared the merits.
