The United Kingdom is providing the largest contribution of forces to the exercise with over 2,600 personnel and 730 vehicles deploying to NATO’s eastern flank for the Alliance’s principal exercise of the year.

Steadfast Dart is also the first large-scale deployment exercise for NATO’s Allied Reaction Force (ARF). The training consisted of a battalion live fire range package, covering the Annual Combat Marksmanship Test, night and daytime attacks, culminating in a challenging company attack using night vision optics.

Meanwhile, the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, recently practiced urban combat skills needed as part of the ARF. The British will join forces with military personnel from eight other Allied nations.
