Bridges opening: 2 Aye Myint Thaya Bridges opened in Nay Pyi Taw

The opening ceremony of two Aye Myint Thaya Bridges spanned on Hsin-thay Creek bordered the Zayyarthiri and Pubbathiri Townships, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory was held at the pandal near the bridge in the morning on 15th July. The bridges were constructed by the Directorate of Military Engineers under the Office of Commander in Chief (Army).

First, the chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council Dr. Maung Maung Naing, member of Nay Pyi Taw Council Col. Min Naung and deputy mayor U Maung Maung and officials opened the two Aye Myint Thaya Bridges by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

Next, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and members and invited guests viewed the bridges and posed for documentary group photo.

The construction of bridges was initiated on the 1st April, 2021 and the bridges are 360 feet long, 56 feet wide and the distance between the two bridges is 39 feet. The bridges are Skew Type with steel girder and steel re-enforced floor. The bridge is capable of withstanding the weight of 60-tons. The construction of the bridges have completed on 30th June, 2022, it’s reported.
