Brazil President presser Japanese media

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said to Japanese media outlets Tuesday, ahead of a summit with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio later this week. Brazil is willing to strengthen ties with Japan in the global transition to renewable energy.

Referring to a large number of Japanese immigrants in Brazil, the president said that in every field of activity, the Japanese participate with great competence.  Brazil possesses a wealth of critical minerals that could be shared with other countries to help fully decarbonize the world.
