British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has made an announcement at a United Nations meeting organized by the World Wildlife Fund on Monday. The announcement was on a biodiversity fund of 220 million to go toward the Darwin Initiative which is a U.K. governmental agency that works to reverse the loss of endangered species. Johnson pointed to the number of endangered species and called the pace of biodiversity loss "catastrophic." He also encouraged to use more quantifiable metrics when discussing ways in which countries plan to fight the loss of biodiversity.
