Border Crossing: Kawthaung-Ranong border gate reopened

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Governments of Myanmar and Thailand closed border gates for the prevention and control of Coronavirus disease. Kawthaung-Ranong border gate which is one of the Myanmar-Thailand border checkpoints was reopened on Monday. For the people who will across the border gate must to follow Covid-19 rules and regulations.

Those who hold passports from Thailand and those who are not citizens from Myanmar and Thailand are not allowed to across the border. The visitors who want to go to Ranong, Thailand, must have cross-border tickets like border pass (BP) and temporary border pass (TBP). Thai visitors and Myanmar citizens who return from Ranong will conduct COVID-19 test in accordance to the directives of the Ministry of Health issued on 1st May 2022.
