Boiler Operating Training: Ministry Of Industry Offers 6-Week Course

Boiler Inspection Department under the Ministry of Industry held an opening ceremony of the boiler operating training course 1/2022 on May 16 at the training room of Boiler Training Department under the Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection in Yangon.  The training is underway in line with the COVID-19 prevention guidelines.

Dy DG, Directorate of Industrial Supervision & Inspection, Soe Moe Kyaw said “The training is to implement the 3 economic objectives of the State Administration Council and to assist our Ministry to create an industrially developed country.We have 35 trainees at this 6-week training course. Those who want to attend the course have to pass the middle school education. Currently, we accept only those from the State-owned factories - we will also accept those from private factories in the future.”  

It is known that the training is conducted to prevent accidents, explosions, damages of boilers, and loss of life and property due to the lack of technical knowledge.

Dy DG, Directorate of Industrial Supervision & Inspection, Soe Moe Kyaw said “Many lives are at stake if there is a boiler explosion. Therefore, we will train them how to use the boilers carefully and systematically to prevent explosions. Moreover, they will learn how to use the boilers efficiently. After they complete thecourse, they will get certificate of boiler operating, and will be assigned at boiler operating departments as professionals.”

It is learnt that the Boiler operating training courses are conducted twice a year, and so far, there have been a total of 4,178 trainees nurtured by the Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection.
