Blinken meets with Sri Lankan counterpart Sabry

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with his Sri Lankan counterpart at the State Department on Friday. Blinken and Foreign Minister Ali Sabry's bilateral meeting will focus on a variety of issues including political stability and economic challenges in Sri Lanka as well as the climate crisis.

Their meeting also highlights the upcoming marking of 75 years of the countries' relations. Salbry thanked the U.S. Secretary of State for the United States assistance in The International Monetary Funds' agreement to provide Sri Lanka with $2.9 billion over four years to help it recover from its worst economic crisis.
