Blaze destroys dozens of fishing vessels in Ecuadorian port

At least 35 fishing boats were destroyed and two people were injured in a major fire that broke out at a crowded dock in western Ecuador. The Ecuadorian Police stated in a press release that "the incident appears to have occurred while welding work was being carried out on a boat" and ruled out the possibility that it was an attack by criminal groups.
