Bilateral Ties: Vice Senior General receives new Thai ambassador

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win received the newly accredited Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar Mr. MongkolVisitstump on Wednesday afternoon.

The meeting at the SAC Chairman Office was to increase the friendship between the two countries and to conduct mutual friendship tours between the two countries' governments and armed forces. The two sides also made discussions on stability in border areas, illegal trade and illegal labor combating, Dawei Deep Sea Port Project and development of transport in border areas and ASEAN affairs.
