Bilateral Ties: Union Minister for Border Affairs receives Thai Ambassador

Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Mr. Mongkol Visitstump. During the meeting at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw, they discussed stability, peace and development of border areas, the development of human resources for ethnic youths and the progress of the socioeconomic development of locals in border areas, implementation of long-term development projects by the Ministry of Border Affairs and the Mae Fah Luang Foundation of Thailand in Tachileik Township and Pinlaung Township and further cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister for Border Affairs Maj-Gen Phyo Thant, the permanent secretary, the director-general and officials.
