Bilateral Cooperation: PM receives Russian Minister of Economic Development

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min AungHlaing received Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Mr. Maxim Reshetnikovat the SAC Chairman office in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

On the occasion, the two sides discussed economic and technical cooperation between Myanmar and Russia, direct flight operating between the two countries for tourism industry development and other requirements, organizing Myanmar-Russia friendship groups widely across the country, Russia’s plans to make investments in Myanmar for the tourism industry development, plans for technical cooperation for the development of iron and steel production of Myanmar, energy sector, pharmaceutical production and treatment affairs for health sector, cooperation in extraction of minerals, technical cooperation for agriculture and livestock industries and plans to cooperate in manufacturing of industrial products and multi-sectoralcooperation.

After the meeting, the Prime Minister and the Russian Minister of Economic Development exchanged commemorative gifts. Also present at the meeting were Union Ministers Dr. KanZaw and U KoKoHlaing, the Russian Ambassador to Myanmar, the Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development and officials.
