














Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Mya Tun Oo and Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin received a delegation led by Mr. Andrey Travnikov, Governor of the Novosibirsk Region of the Russian Federation and held a meeting at the Jasmine Naypyitaw Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on November 3.
During the meeting, both sides openly exchanged views and discussed matters related to enhancing tourism development between Myanmar and Russia, including expanding bilateral flight routes and fostering collaboration between airlines to facilitate travel for tourists from both countries, Myanmar's continued participation in the annual tourism forums and exhibitions held in Russia, implementing the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral tourism cooperation, collaboration in the food and beverage, as well as culinary sectors, signing an agreement to establish and operationalize a Myanmar-Russia Culture and Communication Department, signing a cooperation agreement between the national libraries of the two countries, implementing the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the cultural and arts sectors.
Following the discussions, the Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture presented a commemorative gift, which was accepted by the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region of the Russian Federation. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Ministers U Ko Ko Kyaw, Daw Nu Mya Zan, and U Phyo Zaw Soe, along with responsible officials and delegation members from the respective ministries.
In the evening, at the Jasmine Naypyitaw Hotel, the Union Minister for the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, U Tin Oo, hosted a dinner in honor of the delegation and presented commemorative bouquets as gifts.
