Biden returns to WH amid fears of Russian invasion

President Joe Biden returned to the White House Thursday afternoon following a quick trip to Ohio. As he wrapped up his remarks in Ohio touting new funding for the clean-up and restoration of the Great Lakes, Biden said he had to leave earlier than expected because of weather and "a little thing going on in Europe right now."

Departing the White House earlier in the day, the president issued a stark warning that the threat of an invasion of Ukraine remains “very high” because Russia has moved more troops toward the shared border instead of pulling them back. Biden said the U.S. has “reason to believe” that Russia is engaged in a false flag operation to have an excuse to go in, but did not provide details. He also said he has no plans to speak soon with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
