

Yangon Water Bus services will resume its operation in coming 1st October and has been temporarily suspended during COVID-19 period.
The service will operate again with 2 vessels at 5 ports; Botahtaung, Pansodan, LannThit, Ant Gyi and SaparChaung (Dala), an official of the Water Bus Services said at the press conference in Yangon on 21st July.
Tint TintLwin, Founder, Water Bus Services said “We will run the service during office hours and will take break in lunch time. We will also provide the circular vessel services after the office hours. We will also run the weekend trips such as sunset cruise and Twante trip with a rate that everyone can afford in coming Thadingyut. On the other hand, we will use the digital payment to buy the tickets for the convenience of passengers.”
In 2023, it is planned to use the bio fuel to use in the water buses. So far, the passengers will buy the tickets with low price than current rate.
Tint TintLwin, Founder, Water Bus Services said “We will build marine tank stations for our water buses and other vessels. In 2024, We have a plan to operate the service to Nga Moe Yeik river. We will build low cost piers at 7 crowded places along the side of Nga Moe Yeik river for running services.”
In 2025, Yangon Bus Services will run the cargo water bus to facilitate the transportation of agricultural produce of farmers in Yangon region. For this, some of the existing water buses will be converted into cargo buses. And, they will continue to build the low cost public water buses in cooperation with foreign companies, according to the founder of Water Bus Services.
