Basic Library Training Course: Sagaing Region CM delivered the opening remarks

The opening ceremony for the Basic Library Training Course (2/2025), organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations under the guidance of the Sagaing Region Government, was held at the Community Center of the Monywa District Department of Information and Public Relations in Monywa, Sagaing Region in this morning on August 19. Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw attended and delivered an opening speech.

Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw said that the trainees must enthusiastically learn the library science principles from the course and apply them in their respective libraries. He also stated that the regional government, in coordination with relevant officials, will provide support and assistance for the development of library science.

Next, the region Minister for Social Affairs, U Nyunt Win Aung, presented a sum of 800,000 kyats to the Assistant Director of the Monywa District Department of Information and Public Relations U Myint Naing Soe, for the implementation of the Basic Library Training Course (2/2025) in eight townships within the region.

The Director of the regional Department of Information and Public Relations, U San Win, then gave an explanation about the opening of the training course.

After that, the Chief Minister and officials took a commemorative group photo with the trainees.
