The opening ceremony for the Basic Library Training Course (1/2025), organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Education, was held in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on July 22nd. The course aims to enhance the knowledge and understanding of Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs staff regarding the crucial role of reading and studying books, and to familiarize them with library awareness activities.

First, Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung delivered a speech. He emphasized the importance of fostering the five strengths such as physical, intellectual, moral, social, and economic in students attending the Sports and Physical Education Institutes under the Ministry. He stated that good thinking skills, a high Intelligence Quotient (IQ), emotional stability and maturity (EQ), good social skills (SQ), and the ability to overcome challenges (AQ) are vital. He stressed the need for principals and relevant officials to raise awareness, ensuring that these young sports talents can become future managers who contribute to the development of Myanmar sports. He also urged them to study good literature to strive for a peaceful and prosperous society, not just for their own lives. After his speech, a group commemorative photo was taken, and the ceremony concluded.

The Basic Library Training Course (1/2025) will be conducted from July 22 to 28, at the Multipurpose Hall of the Nay Pyi Taw Sports Training Camp (Gold Camp). The course will be led by instructor Dr. Daw Nwe Nwe Myint with 31 trainees participating.
