Bank erosion protection: MoTC inspected bank erosion protection works

Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San made an inspection tour of retaining work to protect river bank erosion in Ayeyawady Region on Thursday.

Firstly, the Union minister inspected the Yankinsanyar jetty in Ward-3 of Nyaungdon township and the situation of the temporary protection work to alleviate bank erosion under the jetty before firm protection work is carried out.

He gave the necessary instructions after officials presented reports on their work implementation in detail. Afterwards, the Union minister met officials from the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Hinthada Township.

He urged them to fulfill the ministry’s housing needs, make cleaning activities in offices and housing compound in addition to paying special attention to security.

At noon, the Union minister inspected the protection work of river bank erosion at the Satumukha Stupa in Lemyethna Township and gave instructions where necessary.
