A primary focus of the meeting was addressing foreign worker issues. Rahman explicitly requested that Kuala Lumpur reopen its labour market to Bangladeshi migrant workers. Both leaders expressed strong concerns over past recruitment exploitation and committed to new measures ensuring transparency and protecting worker welfare to prevent systemic ill-treatment.
