Ban Ki-Moon to receive Order of Chinggis Khaan Award

Ban Ki-Moon, Former Secretary-General of the United Nations will be awarded Order of Chinggis Khaan, supreme state prize in Mongolia. The Office of the President of Mongolia announced at a press conference on 30th October.  On the occasion of the 862nd anniversary of the birth of Chinggis Khaan, which will be celebrated as the Day of National Pride, November 02, an award ceremony of the Order of Chinggis Khaan, the most prestigious and supreme state prize will be held at the State House on that day.

He is considered to have brought Mongolia’s participation in the United Nations to a new level, brought the relationship between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea to a strategic level, supplied the landlocked system to Mongolia, and opened the way for Mongolia to use many programs against climate change.
