Archeologists working in Peru's second largest pre-Inca city reported the findings of 6 bales of child mummies. The discovery was made in Cajamarquilla, a pre-Inca epicenter of more than 1,400 years located 16 kilometers northeast of Lima's main square. Skeletal remains of what make up seven adults were found next to the child mummies that were covered in cotton textiles.

Archeologist Yomira Huaman, one of the leaders of the research project, said these findings were associated with another mummy, a man from the high-class who was found with its hands covering his face, and was discovered in 2021.That man died approximately between 800 and 1,000 after Christ.
