Awareness-Raising Posters: Awareness-raising posters installed in Dawei

A ceremony to install ground-mounted awareness-raising posters for the election was held this mornig at the beachfront, in front of Kan Thar Market on Strand Road, Dawei City, Tanintharyi Region on December 10. The ceremony aims to enable the public to exercise their right to vote, a fundamental citizen's right. Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, Chief Justice of Region High Court Daw Paik Paik Aye, Region Ministers, department officials, and local residents attended the event.

First, the Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, Region Chief Justice, Region Minister for Social Affairs, and Deputy Director-General of the Region Hluttaw Office jointly cut the ribbon to unveil the ground-mounted poster bearing the slogan "Let's Vote Together." The Region Chief Minister then presented cash awards of honor to the Drum and Bugle Corps and Pom Pom dance group.

Following that, the Region Chief Minister and officials distributed voter awareness pamphlets to attendees, passersby, and vendors inside Kan Thar Market. This was done to encourage all eligible voters to participate and cast their votes in the Multi-Party Democracy General Election scheduled for December 28, 2025.

It is learned that election awareness-raising ground posters have been installed at prominent public locations, including the beachfront in front of Kan Thar Market on Strand Road in Dawei, the intersection of Ar Zarni Road and U Kyaw Yin Road in front of the City Development Market, and around the airport road and the circular road of square. Similar posters have also been installed at prominent locations in districts and townships across the Region.

The "Let's Vote Together" pamphlet features four key messages under the slogan "From the Election to a Better Future": There is no way other than an election to restore democracy, the democratic nation-state desired by the people can only be achieved through an election, to strengthen democracy, let's go to the polling station and vote and to develop the nation, let's choose a capable leader, it’s reported.
