Awareness Campaign: Road Safety Awareness Campaign Held in Myitkyina

An awareness campaign on traffic rules and road safety organized by the Kachin State Road Safety Council (Kachin State RSC) was held in the indoor sports stadium of the People’s Sports Ground in Myitkyina on July 22nd.

First, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan delivered an opening speech. He stated that to reduce vehicle and road accidents within the state, monthly meetings are held to discuss and coordinate necessary actions, including raising awareness. He also mentioned that efforts are underway to expand and install more traffic lights, and annual funds are allocated to ensure that road signs, markings, and signaling systems are consistent with laws and directives. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of widespread public awareness of the regulations. He urged attendees to remember the information shared at this awareness event and to continue disseminating it to their communities.

Following his speech, the awareness campaign continued with relevant officials delivering presentations on various topics related to reducing vehicle and road accidents to Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and the other attendees.
