








The awarding ceremony of 23rd edition of Myanmar Traditional Cultural performing arts competition organized by the Bago Region Government was held at the Township Hall of Bago at 9 a.m. on 4th September.
First, the Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win said the necessary arrangements are being carried out to organized the 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competitions in national level with the objectives of promoting the customs and traditions of all National peoples, preserve and safeguard their cultural heritage and national characteristics and the national unity.
The regional competition is held aiming at turning out new generations of performing artists to be able to compete in the national level competition and bring the honor of Bago Region etc.
Next, the Chief Minister, chief justice of region high court, commander of No (77) Light Infantry Division and the region minister for security and border affairs awarded the prizes to the winners and the first prize winner of singing completion in the amateur level (second grade) performed with Myanma Gonyay song.
Then, the region ministers presented the prizes to the special award winners and the troupe of Pyay District which has won the first prize in non-lyrics based dancing competition performed with the dance.
Afterward, the second and third prizes winners were presented with the prizes and the chairman of Myanmar Theatrical performing troupes organizations honored by playing Myanmar traditional orchestra of drum circle.
Then, the chief minister and party posed for documentary group photo together with the award winners and cordially greeted with the prize winners and attendees, it’s reported.
