Awarding Ceremony : Inter-Education Degree Colleges Football Final

The final match of the 2024–2025 Academic Year Inter-Education Degree Colleges Football Tournament was held on Saturday at the Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex, Training Ground No. (1) in Nay Pyi Taw. Mandalay Zone (A) team defeated Yangon Zone (A) team 6–4 on penalties, after a 1–1 draw in regular time, to win the championship title.

After the match, prizes were awarded to Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Best Midfielder, Best Striker, Best Player and Team Awards. Champion Mandalay Zone (A) was awarded with Trophy and 5 million kyats, 1st Runner-up Yangon Zone (A) with 3 million kyats, 2nd Runner-up Mandalay Zone (B) with 2 million kyats, and Special Award to Yangon Zone (B) with 1 million kyats.

During the ceremony, Union Minister for Education Dr Chaw Chaw Sein also provided food allowances for students from seven Education Degree Colleges who were unable to return home. Earlier in the day, the third-place match saw Mandalay Zone (B) defeat Yangon Zone (B) 5–4 on penalties after a 1–1 draw.
