Award-giving ceremony: SAC members awarded the winning teams

The 2022 Inter-State/Region Sepak Takraw finals and the award-giving ceremony, jointly organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation, were held Friday afternoon at the (C) gymnasium of Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw.

The ceremony was attended by members of the State Administration Council Daw Aye Nu Sein, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, U Moung Har, U Sai Lone Hsai, Dr Banyar Aung Moe and U Shwe Kyein, Union ministers, deputy ministers and officials concerned.

In the final matches, the Sagaing Region team won against the Yangon Region Team in the men’s regu event. Ayeyawady Region team won against the Yangon Region Team in women’s regu event. After the competitions, the awarding ceremony was held.

Union Ministers and SAC Members awarded the teams which won the first, second and third prize. The 2020 Inter-State/Region Sepak Takraw Competitions are held from 5 to 15 July at the Gymnasium (C) of Wunna Theikdi Stadium.

A total of 368 athletes from 15 male teams and 13 female teams participated in the men’s double regu and men’s regu events and the men’s and women’s mix-regu and double regu events.
