The Ministry of Information on Monday held an award-giving ceremony for those who passed the matriculation examination of the 2021-2022 Academic Year and a stipend-awarding ceremony for the offspring of the ministry’s staff for the 2022-2023 Academic Year.

The ceremonies began with singing the song “Myanma School” and the SeinPwint-Pama-Lin-Latt-Par (shine like a diamond) video clip was screened. In his speech, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn said the youths are leaders of the future.

The youths should focus on serving the interests of the country and the people, and should not lose sight of their goals. The government is prioritizing the education sector and making efforts for that sector to play a key role in building a modern democratic nation.

The events continued with providing educational assistance and stationery to the representatives of relevant departments, and outstanding awards to the students who gained distinctions from one to six subjects in the matriculation examination.

On the same day, the students and parents visited the MRTV Diamond Jubilee Museum in Tatkon and viewed the broadcasting programmes at the main building.

They also observed the machinery used for TV broadcasting, direct broadcast vehicles, scale models, documentary photos of newscasters, musical instruments, studios and gramophone record players and related equipment displayed at 40 booths in the museum.
